The 4th Edition

Common Ambition

Summary

The Fourth Edition’s motto was “Common Ambition”, a theme which highlighted the students’ willingness to improve the Sino-Polish economic, political and cultural relations, their alacrity to broaden their understanding of current affairs, both in Poland and the People’s Republic of China, as well as their desire to build a shared platform for wide discussion.

Fourth Edition has brought a unique occasion to meet with Mr. Mateusz Morawiecki, the prime minister of Poland. As a well-known economist, the main focus of his speech was on the current reports from the business world, which sparked a far-reaching discussion between participants. Throughout the duration of the Fourth Edition, Warsaw-Beijing Forum’s members also dived into the world of European Union’s law system, familiarizing themselves with its theoretical procedures and practical aspects.

The student exchange was also very rich in the context of studying the world of business and economics. And thus, the Chinese students visited a place of great importance for Sino-Polish relations – an apple processing plant in Grójec. The Polish students went to Beijing, Shanghai and, for the first time in the project’s history, the Consulate General of Poland in Chengdu.
